Football and swimming and sports in London

Today Jonah is traveling to Paris with the ASL swim team, competing in an international schools meet, staying with a family from the American School in Paris, and returning tomorrow early afternoon.  How cool is that?

Joshua had his first soccer game here in London this morning.  In early January he began playing Saturdays in Regent's Park and today was his first match.  Here's some British soccer language for you.  As we got to the pitch (field) we realized he didn't yet have a kit (uniform).  It was only a friendly (non-competitive scrimmage for fun) so it didn't matter.  Also he thinks it's funny that he is wearing Jonah's old baseball shoes for football boots.  At least he didn't play in pants (underwear). Although they lost their game, he had a big grin of joy on his face while he was playing!  Very fun to see that!

Football match - yes, green grass and sun in January...but you can't feel the crisp winter wind and you can't see how muddy the pitch is!  But yes, how great that football is year-round.

Josh is in his gray sweatpants and a green bib

Ally's got a swim meet tomorrow with the Camden Swiss Cottage Swim Club out in Hendon - all day.

Looks like the Larson adventures this weekend are KIDS SPORTS!!
